PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

There’s a reason acoustic slat panels have taken over Australian interiors — they do two jobs at once. The Acoustic Brown colourway brings a deep, warm timber tone that reads as natural and grounded without leaning too rustic. Pair it with light floors and you get contrast that works. Pair it with darker tones and the room feels cohesive rather than heavy.

Each panel is built on an acoustic polyester felt backing with timber-veneer battens on top. The felt isn’t decorative — it actively absorbs mid-to-high frequency sound, cutting down on echo and reverberation. That matters in open-plan spaces, home theatres, home offices, and anywhere hard surfaces send sound bouncing around.

Key specs:
• Colour: Acoustic Brown (warm brown woodgrain)
• Suitable for: Internal walls and ceilings
• Application: DIY-friendly — glue or nail installation
• Maintenance: Wipe down with a dry or lightly damp cloth

These panels work well on gyprock, plywood, and plasterboard. They can also be mounted on battens, though in that case they’re for aesthetics only and shouldn’t bear any load. Not designed for wet areas or direct outdoor exposure.

The Acoustic Brown finish reads consistently under both warm and cool lighting, so what you see in the showroom is close to what you’ll live with at home. If you’re tiling an entire feature wall, a ceiling section, or just boxing out a single accent strip — the install process is the same and the result is clean.

Good for: Feature walls, TV walls, home theatre rooms, bedrooms, home offices, restaurant fitouts, commercial reception areas.

Q: Will these panels actually reduce noise in my room?
A: They reduce echo and reverberation — they're not a soundproofing solution. The felt backing absorbs sound energy rather than blocking it from passing through the wall. For rooms with a lot of hard surfaces (concrete, glass, timber floors), the difference is noticeable.
Q: Can I install acoustic wall cladding myself?
A: Yes. Most people use construction adhesive applied to the felt backing, then press the panel firmly onto a flat wall surface. A nail gun through the battens works too. Start from one edge and work across to keep lines straight.
Q: Are these panels suitable for bathroom or laundry walls?
A: No. The felt backing and timber veneer are not moisture-resistant. These are indoor dry-area panels only.
Q: How do I clean acoustic slat panels?
A: A dry microfibre cloth handles dust well. For marks on the battens, a cloth lightly dampened with water is fine. Avoid wet cleaning, steam, or any liquid near the felt backing.
