Terra Deck – Steel Grey Decking Board

Steel Grey is, by a long margin, the most popular colourway in the Terra Deck range — and it’s easy to see why. It slots cleanly into modern architecture, works against concrete and off-white render, and manages to look simultaneously neutral and deliberate. It doesn’t fight with anything else in your outdoor space.

The board profile is 137x23x5400mm with a circular hollow core — the same engineering that runs across the entire Terra Deck decking range. Hollow channels reduce board weight, improve drainage below the surface, and encourage air movement around the subframe. That last point matters for the long-term condition of your deck structure, whether it’s timber or steel.

What you’re getting with Gen 5 co-extrusion is a board that’s meaningfully different from the composite products that gave WPC a patchy reputation in the early 2000s. The polymer shell bonded to all four sides of the board core provides a level of UV colour stability, surface hardness, and stain resistance that simply wasn’t achievable with earlier manufacturing methods. Grey boards are particularly susceptible to UV bleaching over time — the Gen 5 cap is what keeps Steel Grey looking steel grey and not washed-out after a few Melbourne summers.
