Acoustic Wall Cladding – Spotted Gum

Spotted Gum is one of the most recognised Australian hardwoods — the kind of grain pattern you see in quality decking, flooring, and cabinetry. This acoustic panel brings that same aesthetic indoors, in a format that’s faster to install and includes built-in sound control.

The panel uses a timber veneer batten construction over an acoustic polyester felt backing. The Spotted Gum grain pattern features the interlocked, slightly ribboned look the species is known for — light to mid-brown tones with subtle movement through the grain. It’s a finish that looks considered rather than generic.

Acoustically, the felt layer absorbs reflected sound. Rooms with hard floors, glass, and concrete walls tend to accumulate echo. These panels take the edge off that without requiring acoustic tiles or foam treatment. The result is a quieter, more comfortable space alongside the visual upgrade.
