PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Two colours on one panel. The EcoClad High Pier Teak & Black takes the architectural depth of the High Pier profile and adds a contrast finish — warm teak on the raised panel face, dark (near-black) in the recessed channels between slats.

This is the panel to choose if you want a wall that looks custom and expensive. The contrast between teak and black plays up the 3D effect of the 24mm profile dramatically. In certain lighting conditions — especially with directional or warm LED lighting — the shadow lines between panels read almost like cut-out gaps rather than a surface finish. The overall result is a wall that looks like it was designed by someone who spent more than they’re letting on.

At 160mm wide and 2900mm long, the coverage per panel is efficient for feature walls. The High Pier depth means fewer panels are needed to create a visual impact compared to shallower profiles.

Best suited to: master bedrooms, living rooms, home theatres, dining rooms, and commercial spaces where you want an interior that stands out. The teak and black combination is also popular in hospitality design — cafes, restaurants, and bars use this profile regularly.

PVC construction, so moisture resistant, easy to clean, no ongoing maintenance.

How is the two-tone finish achieved on one panel?
The panel profile is moulded so the raised slat face and the recessed channel between slats are at different depths. The teak finish covers the raised slat face, and the black (or near-black) is in the recessed groove area. When light hits the wall, the teak surface catches the light while the recessed channel sits in relative shadow — the contrast makes the 3D effect of the High Pier profile much more pronounced than a single-colour finish.
What colour scheme works best with the teak and black combination?
The teak tone is warm, so the panel pairs well with warm interior palettes — cream, off-white, sandy tones, warm greys, and natural materials like wool textiles and timber furniture. Against a cool palette (stark white, cool greys, chrome fixtures) the contrast is sharper and more graphic. Both approaches work; it depends whether you want the wall to feel warm and earthy or bold and architectural.
Is the teak tone in this panel the same as the High Pier Teak Cladding?
The teak colouring is similar across both products since it's the same base PVC material, but the High Pier Teak & Black has the added black in the recessed channel which changes the overall visual character considerably. If you're trying to match existing panels or coordinate across spaces, it's worth comparing samples side by side before committing to a large order.
What lighting works best to show off a High Pier feature wall?
Directional lighting — spotlights, track lighting, or wall washers — creates the most dramatic shadow effect with the High Pier profile. Light coming from above at a slight angle emphasises the depth between slats most effectively. Soft, diffused ambient light creates a subtler effect. For home theatres or media walls, the warm glow of bias lighting behind a TV screen complements the teak tone particularly well.
