PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Teak has always been a go-to choice for interior warmth — the tone is neither too yellow nor too brown, sitting in a versatile middle ground that works across a wide range of interior styles. The EcoClad High Pier Teak delivers that same warmth in the deepest profile in the range.

At 24mm thick, the High Pier panel creates real shadow depth between each slat. The teak finish runs across the full panel face, with natural grain variation that prevents the installed wall from looking uniform or artificially repetitive. The 160mm width and 2900mm length make coverage calculations simple and waste manageable.

What separates the High Pier Teak from other teak-finish options is the profile depth. The same teak colour on a thinner panel looks pleasant. On a 24mm deep profile, it looks like bespoke joinery.

Where it works: anywhere you’d use real teak timber but want something more practical. Living rooms, master bedrooms, studies, dining areas, stairwells, feature walls in commercial spaces. The warm tone works in both light-flooded rooms where the grain detail shows, and in more dimly lit spaces where the warmth comes through even without strong light.

Moisture resistant, easy to maintain, installed with standard tools.

How does High Pier Teak compare to High Pier Teak & Black?
High Pier Teak is a single-colour panel with the teak finish across the full profile including the recessed channel. The High Pier Teak & Black has a contrasting black in the channel, which makes the shadow lines much more visible and graphic. High Pier Teak reads as warmer and more traditional — more like real timber. Teak & Black is more dramatic and contemporary. Both use the same 24mm depth profile; the difference is purely the colour treatment.
Is teak-finish PVC a good match for real timber furniture?
It depends on the specific teak tone and the furniture finish. PVC teak prints tend to be consistent and slightly more saturated than real aged timber. In well-lit rooms next to actual teak furniture, the difference may be visible. Most people find that PVC timber-effect panels work well alongside real wood furniture because the eye reads the overall warmth of the room rather than examining each surface for authenticity.
What is the best room to use the High Pier Teak in?
The most popular applications are behind beds in master bedrooms (replacing a traditional bedhead with a full-wall feature), in living rooms as a TV feature wall, and in dining rooms as a backdrop wall behind a table setting. In commercial spaces, it works well in hospitality settings where warmth and texture are part of the design brief.
Can I mix High Pier Teak with the High Pier Teak & Black on the same wall?
Mixing finishes on the same wall is generally not recommended unless it's a deliberate design intent with clear transition points. The tonal difference between the two is significant enough to look like an error rather than a choice if placed side by side without a definite reason. Consider using each finish in different rooms or zones rather than on the same wall.
