PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The mini slat format does something the wider slat profiles can’t: it creates a finer, more detailed wall texture that reads like genuine timber battens from across the room.

At 8mm thick and 150mm wide, the EcoClad Mini Slat Harmony panel is the slimmest profile in the EcoClad range. The result when installed is a wall with tightly spaced, narrow slats — closer to what you’d expect from a high-end architectural timber feature wall than from a PVC panel product. The Harmony colourway is a warm, mixed-tone finish that gives variation across the wall surface rather than a flat single colour.

The 2900mm length keeps joins to a minimum on standard wall heights.

Where the mini slat profile works best: spaces where you want serious texture and a premium wall finish. Home theatres, master bedrooms, reception areas, and dining rooms all suit this profile well. The narrower slats mean the shadow lines between panels are more frequent and finer, creating a more intricate visual pattern.

Like all panels in the EcoClad range, this is PVC — moisture resistant, low maintenance, and workable with standard tools.

The mini slat format is among the most refined options in PVC internal wall cladding panels Australia builders and designers specify for premium residential feature walls.

What is the difference between mini slat and regular slat cladding?
The main difference is the thickness and visual density of the slat pattern on the wall. Mini slat panels are thinner (8mm vs 14-15mm for wider profiles) which means when installed, the shadow lines between slats are finer and more frequent. The overall effect is a more detailed, intricate wall texture — closer to the look of fine timber battens. Wider slat profiles read as bolder and more architectural; mini slat reads as more refined and detailed.
How does the 8mm profile affect installation — is it more fragile than thicker panels?
The 8mm profile is thinner and lighter than the 14-15mm panels, so you need to handle it carefully and ensure the substrate is flat and even. Any undulation in the wall behind will show more in a thinner panel than in a thicker one. Use a quality adhesive and furring strips where needed to achieve a flat backing. Cutting is the same as for other PVC panels — a fine-toothed saw blade works well.
Will the multi-tone finish fade or become inconsistent over time?
Under normal indoor conditions with no direct prolonged sunlight, the surface finish should remain consistent. UV-stabilised PVC holds its colour well indoors. If you need to replace a panel years down the line, there can sometimes be slight variation between production batches — it's worth keeping a few spare panels from the original order for future repairs.
