EcoClad – Teak & Black Cladding

Some colour combinations simply work — and Teak & Black is one of them. The contrast between the warm golden-brown of teak grain and the depth of a charcoal-black background sits at the intersection of contemporary and organic, creating a facade material that reads as both modern and grounded in natural material character.

EcoClad Teak & Black External Wall Cladding is a binate finish that blends these two tones across the panel face. The result is a cladding that has the visual complexity of real timber — where different grain lines carry different tones — but without any of the maintenance responsibilities that come with genuine hardwood in an Australian exterior environment.

This finish suits contemporary builds that are moving away from monochrome facades into something with more character. It works alongside dark window frames, raw concrete feature elements, steel structures, and sculptural landscaping. On full external facades it reads as bold and intentional; on accent walls, alfresco surrounds, or boundary fence panels it provides a strong visual anchor against lighter surrounding materials.

The Co-Extrusion WPC construction means the teak and black colour tones are integral to the panel structure — bonded in at manufacture, not painted on top. UV stabilisers in the cap layer maintain the contrast between the two tones over time, resisting the fade that would cause a surface-coated finish to slowly wash out into a uniform mid-tone.
