Reflekt+ Silicone RGB LED Light Strips

RGB strip lights are everywhere. Most of them are thin, plasticky, and get pulled off the wall six months later when the adhesive gives up.

These are different. The Reflekt+ silicone RGB strips have a 12mm x 13mm cross-section — chunky enough to diffuse the light evenly rather than showing individual LED dots through the housing. Two sealed ends keep moisture out, which matters for bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks, and outdoor-covered installs where regular strips fail.

The RGB system works the way you’d expect — red, green, and blue channels mix to any colour across the full spectrum. Warm amber for evenings, blue for a gaming setup, near-white for task use. A dimmer gives you full control from maximum output down to a barely-there glow. Most people end up using 20–40% brightness for ambient lighting and cranking it up only when they want the colour to make a statement.

Self-adhesive backing on the underside. Peel, press, hold. Sticks to painted MDF, tile, glass, and sealed timber without additional fixings. Clean the surface first — that’s the step most people skip and then wonder why it came off.

Pick your length:

  • 1.2M (7.2W) — TV backlighting for 55–65″ screens, under a bathroom vanity, bedhead accent for a single or double bed, short shelf run
  • 1.5M (9W) — Standard floating shelves, queen-size bedheads (1530mm width), wide TV back edges, short feature wall sections
  • 1.8M (10.8W) — King-size bedheads (1830mm width) in one clean uncut run, kitchen splashback lighting, under-island bench lighting
  • 2.1M (12.6W) — Wider kitchen bench runs, stair landing lighting, ceiling cove sections in medium rooms
  • 2.4M (14.4W) — Full-width feature wall bases, long shelf runs, cove lighting in larger rooms where shorter units would need a join

Multiple strips connect in series off a single 24V power source for longer runs. All lengths run at 24V — easy to daisy-chain across a wall or room.

If you’re doing a feature wall with vertical panel grooves, the 1.2M or 1.5M strips tucked into individual groove channels give a neon-style vertical accent that the images on this page show clearly. Each groove gets its own strip; the colour runs along the full depth of the groove and the silicone diffuser stops it looking like a line of individual dots.

Q: What's the best use case for a 1.2M RGB strip specifically?
A: TV backlighting is the most popular application — a 1.2M strip fits cleanly behind a 55–65 inch screen and reduces eye strain in dark rooms by creating a soft bias light behind the display. Other strong applications include under floating shelves, bedside table backlighting, short stair riser accents, and inside display cabinets. It's the right length when the run is compact and you want a self-contained installation without cutting or extending.
Q: What does RGB actually mean and how many colours can it produce?
A: RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue. By mixing those three channels at different intensities, the strip can produce millions of colour combinations. Pure primary colours (red, green, blue), secondary colours (yellow, cyan, purple), white (all three at full), and thousands of intermediate hues and pastels in between. The controller — typically a remote or an app — handles the mixing.
Q: Does the self-adhesive backing hold permanently or can the strip be repositioned?
A: The self-adhesive backing is designed for permanent installation on clean, smooth surfaces. Once applied firmly to a suitable surface, repositioning is difficult without damaging the strip or leaving residue. If you're experimenting with placement before committing, use painter's tape temporarily first, then apply the adhesive backing when you're satisfied with the position.
Q: Can multiple 1.2M strips be connected to cover a longer run?
A: Yes — multiple strips can be connected in series using compatible connectors. The total connected length should stay within the maximum run specified by the strip's power supply to avoid voltage drop and dimming at the far end of the run. Confirm the maximum connected length with us when planning a multi-strip installation.
